1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") explains conduct that is permitted or prohibited on Afruniverse. It applies to clients, creatives, agencies, and visitors. It should be read together with the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Platform & Dispute Policy. By using the Platform, you agree to this AUP.
2. Lawful and truthful use
You must use Afruniverse only for lawful purposes and in accordance with applicable law, including the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete account and profile information, and to keep that information updated. You must not impersonate another person or organisation, or misrepresent your identity, qualifications, employment, agency status, or portfolio work.
Where Afruniverse invites you to submit a government-issued ID or related details, you must submit documents that belong to you (or that you are authorised to submit for the stated business). Optional document review by Afruniverse is a manual administrative review. It is not an automated identity check, a government-database verification, or a guarantee of identity.
3. Prohibited conduct
The following are prohibited:

- Impersonation, false identity, or misrepresentation of portfolio, skills, or business status
- Creating multiple or fraudulent accounts to manipulate reviews, ratings, or marketplace standing
- Harassment, threats, or abusive behaviour toward any user or member of staff
- Publishing or delivering prohibited, illegal, or infringing content, including intellectual-property infringement

- Circumventing the platform by taking payments or contracted work off-platform where marketplace rules require use of Afruniverse

4. Marketplace integrity
Creatives must deliver work within the agreed timeframe, communicate delays in the workroom, provide agreed revisions, and only claim skills they genuinely possess.
Clients must provide a clear brief, respond within a reasonable time, review delivered work, and not demand work outside the purchased scope without additional payment.
Afruniverse may moderate listings, messages, videos, and store products, and may restrict, suspend, or blacklist accounts that breach this AUP or related policies.
5. Enforcement
If you breach this AUP, Afruniverse may remove content, restrict marketplace features (including publishing, applying, messaging, or payouts where policy allows), suspend the account, blacklist the account, or permanently ban the account. Historical project, payment, and workroom records may be retained for dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and legal obligations.
Afruniverse may cooperate with legitimate investigations and legal obligations, including requests from payment partners and competent authorities, to the extent required by law and our Privacy Policy.
