1.1 Information You Provide: We collect account details (Name, email, phone), Identity Verification (Government ID/KYC for platform safety), and Payment Information (Processed securely by partners like Paystack).
1.2 Automatically Collected Data: IP addresses, browser types, and usage patterns are collected to improve service delivery and prevent fraudulent logins.
1.3 Payment & Transaction Data: We collect and store transaction metadata, including project milestones and communication logs within the Workroom, to facilitate dispute resolution and ensure the secure release of held funds.
2. Cookie Usage
We use cookies to maintain your session, remember your preferences, and analyze platform traffic. You can manage these through your browser settings, though some features may be limited if disabled.
3. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell your data. We share information with third-party service providers only as necessary to:
- Process payments (Paystack)
- Send SMS/OTP notifications (Termii)
- Comply with legal obligations or law enforcement requests
3.1 Payment Processing: Financial transactions are processed through Paystack Payments Limited. Afruniverse does not store full credit card numbers or BVNs on our internal servers; all sensitive financial input is handled via Paystack's secure, PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure.

5. Data Security
We use HTTPS/TLS encryption for data in transit and industry-standard hashing for passwords at rest. Transaction records are retained for 7 years to comply with Nigerian financial regulations.
6. International Data Transfers
As Afruniverse utilizes global cloud infrastructure (Vercel/Supabase), your data may be processed outside of Nigeria. We ensure all cross-border transfers comply with the NDPR through standard contractual clauses and high-level encryption.
